The Pop Rivets Return to Friday's Alive!
Popular Free Concert Series returns to downtown Lexington in Davidson Park
The downtown sounds of summer continue this Friday hosted by the Lexington-Rockbridge Jaycees. The "Friday's Alive concert series" which is the premier summer staple of Lexington community entertainment will once again host FREE outdoor concerts in gorgeous Davidson Park. A special THANKS goes to the assistance and support of the City of Lexington, Washington and Lee University and the Chamber of Commerce. The leadership and coordination between these entities and the Jaycees have produced the long awaited return of the popular series to Davidson Park.
The Pop Rivets return to Lexington for this year's series on June 26! Concerts will typically run from 6-9pm each evening---seating (your chairs and blankets of course!) will begin around 5:30pm ... or earlier for those prime shaded seats! Admission is free and the Jaycees suggest you come early and stay late! Vendors attending and providing great food and drink include John D. Eiland Company, Kroger, Dominos Pizza, Sweet Things Ice Cream Shoppe, Sweet Treats Bakery, and Todd's BBQ! PLEASE remember, no outside food or drink is allowed—all proceeds from sales go to our three benefiting charities. Also, for safety, please do not bring pets. T-shirts will be for sale for $20 with proceeds also going to charity!
This family-oriented concert series will benefit three fine organizations this year:
- The Rockbridge SPCA
- the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
- The Rockbridge Area Relief Association (RARA).
